Microsoft has begun rolling back its recent changes to the authentication system after seeing a vast number of Microsoft users experiencing server connection issues, including the messaging systems on Microsoft Teams.
Downdetector.com, a website that tracks global outages across a range of apps and brands with thousands of people experiencing difficulty with the Team's app, including over 1000 reports of Office 365 issues reported in the last hour.
There has also been a major impact on Microsoft's Cloud-Based System, Microsoft Azure, with over 2000 users reporting experiencing issues with the cloud computing service.
These technical issues may be sporadic and may not affect everyone in the same way, but it is important to be aware if you are currently experiencing any issues with Microsoft products, to be patient and wait for these issues to be resolved.
Microsoft is actively working to resolve this issue but has been “experiencing technical difficulties while rolling back the problematic update.” They will continue to update users as this progresses.
After identifying underlying issues the global tech giant has taken steps to mitigate the impact on affected areas and has closely been assessing the current health status of their products. Though the majority of these issues have been amended, Microsoft will continue to update as this changes and regularity is restored.
